Co-operatives and credit unions provide jobs for over 150,000 people in Canada, including many in Newfoundland and Labrador. These jobs are in a variety of industry sectors and many are with local co-ops and credit unions in rural communities.
In addition to many full time employment opportunities, the co-op sector also provides young people with opportunities to participate in other career development activities including summer student employment, student internships and other work experience programs.
